What families said

In beta

What families said when they saw it

FamilyOrganization.app is the family organizer on the TV you already own, with an ADHD-friendly visual timeline for each person (Roku now; Apple TV, Fire TV and Google TV coming).

When our family shared a photo of it in ADHD and parenting Facebook groups, people left about 435 comments within a week. Here are 121 of them, word for word.

Source: comments on our posts in four Facebook groups, 12–14 Sep 2026 (listed at the end of this page), exported 23 Sep 2026. Updated .

I need count downs, I have terrible time blindness.

Ashley M.Facebook group comment, Sep 2026

Short answer

Is FamilyOrganization.app any good?

It's early: parents who saw it were enthusiastic, and it's still in beta on Roku and iPhone, with no app-store ratings yet.

So there's no star score to quote. What exists is first-hand reaction. Posts about it in ADHD and parenting Facebook groups reached 104,703 views and 20,178 engagements between 29 August and 25 September 2026 (Facebook Insights), and about 435 comments came in within a week of the 12 September posts. Of the 388 comments exported, 143 offered to test it, and beta testers have signed up from 12 countries.

The feedback wasn't all praise. The most-reacted comment suggested dropping the AI, several people asked how safe their family's data would be, and the most common request was a platform it doesn't support yet: Android, Fire TV, Google TV and Apple TV are coming soon. Every comment on this page is shown word for word, including the questions.

Short answer

What do ADHD parents think of a TV family calendar?

ADHD parents in these groups talked most about three things: countdowns for time blindness, chores that stay on screen, and not buying another device.

"I need count downs, I have terrible time blindness," wrote Ashley M. Another parent, LittleMagic R., liked that "the task just sits on the tv instead of repeatedly asking them to do something", and wrote "I LOVE the leave in 7 minutes" about the LEAVE IN countdown. Others asked for the thing they already use: 12 comments asked for Android, and several asked about Fire TV, Google TV, Apple TV or Alexa.

These are reactions to a photo and a screenshot, not long-term reviews, and a TV calendar is a tool that can help with transitions, not a treatment for ADHD. The themes below group every comment by what it talks about.

What did families talk about most?

The TV itself came first. Counts are across all 388 exported comments; one comment can touch more than one theme.

Looks amazing! I love the “get ready” and travel time blocks. Is this something that could potentially be displayed on other devices eg Apple TV, iPad, or cheap Android tablet?

That is genius to use tv for it. I have fire tv, so I would love to test and my husband and I can participate in upgrading

Compared

What did people compare it with?

Some parents compared it with screens and apps they already use, or with what a dedicated device costs. Their words, unedited.

This is awesome! I’d be interested in both testing and the business development side of things! I run my own marketing agency and just developed my own CRM for the specific niche my agency works with. Branding, UX/UI design, marketing and also investor pitching (if that’s something you’re considering) I can help with. I’d defo love to get involved with this, we have a skylight and this is 1000x better!

  • This_s_is_bananas

We have a skylight and love it - but I saw that lifetime countdown on the tv and INSTANTLY wanted it… forgot we don’t have a tv

Yes interest, yes help test and debug. I just started using Cozi and am so sad at all the limitations I thought how cool if I created something. I am VERY interested to chat —send me a dm if interested I have tons of ideas and feedback I’m surw

This is amazing! It’s made for the way I think. We have Cozyla currently and it’s not as friendly for the way a neurodivergent mind works.

    Facebook · Sep 2026
  • Mandy M.

Ohhh that looks interesting. We have a skylight and it isn’t working for us that well. We desperately need to have a system in place that would help us all.

    Facebook · Sep 2026
  • Kate K.

That is so cool and would definitely be a huge help in our house! I would be happy to test! We currently have a calendly and it just doesn’t work well for me- it doesn’t sync up the way I want it to from my calendar.

ADHD and time

What did ADHD parents say about time?

Countdowns, get-ready time and not forgetting came up again and again from parents who live with time blindness.

See how the countdown parents asked for works, or read about an ADHD-friendly family calendar.

  • Kristen B.

Definitely interested in testing! Love that it tells you the time you have to leave! So helpful!

I'm more than happy to check it out and test, if I find any improvements I'd propose a tweak. I'm using myself gpt plus flows that reminds most of the administrative tasks we all forget about connected with calendar and database so it never makes mistakes based on the linguistic model. It's a hobby with potential to save on execution badwidth. I use chromatic hierarchy to immediately and visually know what's urgent not urgent less and optional etc. Each person has their own needs but if I'd describe the perfect app: Privacy first ( until we run ai in our devices, it has to have strong privacy), personalization, access to draft and send communication, deadlines reminders, daily reminders of micro goals to meet the dead line long term providing immediate reward ( I built a fitness flow with gpt with visible progress bars for nutrition and training and it gives that immediate reward when item is completed. It's a skill to build a system around the bottleneck of working memory, executive and cognitive bandwidth. ADHD is a powerful engine with a ridiculously small tank. I'd say make it fun and nice and you'll be successful. The world is full of apps that nail it on paper and data, but they're not a pleasure to use. All the best

AI

What did people say about the AI connector?

Some parents already plan with Claude or ChatGPT and liked the idea; others asked for it to be optional. It is: the connector is in development, and nothing in the app needs AI.

Read about the Claude and ChatGPT connector, which is in development.

  • Kat W.

Would def be interested in testing but I don’t have Roku, I use google tv. I wonder if I could help convert it to a Google tv app for you, if you’re interested. We use Alexa, Claude and chatgpt so the other integrations would def work well.

    Facebook · Sep 2026
  • Johanine R.

Yes! For sure! Definitely interested. I'm using Claude at the moment to try intergrate best I can.

    Facebook · Sep 2026
  • Amber R.

Absolutely interested! I have actually tried to create my own version of this! But literally have no clue what I doing so it was basically just a few nights of staying up late hyper focusing on getting AI to create what I needed. I would love to help in any way shape or form as I fully feel and understand the need for this! Would love to find out how you imagine a business partner, what it would look like and what would the expectations be... Because that would be a dream to be a partner in some shape or form with you in this!

I would love to test this if I could I have a background in software testing and weirdly enough I was playing with Claude in building something similar for the family too! Haha

Chores

What did parents say about chores on the TV?

Parents liked tasks that stay on the screen, so nobody has to keep repeating them. Rewards and screen-time tools are planned, not built.

See chores on the TV.

  • Kat A.

Omg I’m obsessed with this. I need this. Bonus if they compete their tasks and then screen time unlocks. Till then, tv stays on this mode (ur pic)

Also i love that the task just sits on the tv instead of repeatedly asking them to do something

I love this idea, but more so something that connects all our phones. So that everyone gets the notification/alarm for the specific task. That I can manage from my phone. Since I feel like I manage everyone

This would be awesome! I’m not currently using anything other than writing notes and to do lists all day long, then losing those lists and rewriting them

I would love to test this.. we have written whiteboards everywhere lol

Timeline

What did parents say about the timeline?

Seeing everyone's day side by side, with the time drawn to scale, is what several parents picked out.

This looks a- maze-ingggg!! I’d be interested in testing it too, is there a screen you can see everyone’s schedules together so you can see if there’s any over laps or where there would be space for appointments etc

  • Louisa D.

This looks super useful. Do you have any other screens on it or is it a calendar view that evolves?

yes please - I have attempted this build so many times and have reverted back to whiteboard for the moment.

Requests

Which TVs, phones and countries did people ask about?

Android was the most requested, then TVs other than Roku, then Alexa and families outside the US.

Status today: Roku and iPhone are in beta. Android, Fire TV, Google TV and Apple TV are coming soon, and an Alexa skill is in development.

Check which TVs and phones it runs on.

Everything else

What did everyone else say?

Mostly some version of "my family needs this", often with an offer to help test it on their own TV.
