Terms of Use
Effective September 24, 2026
The short version
- FamilyOrganization is free. There is nothing to buy and no subscription.
- What you put in is yours. We don't sell it and we don't claim it.
- A parent creates every login in the household, including a child's.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
- We can't promise the service never breaks. Don't rely on it for anything critical.
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Next Mountain Ventures, the operator of FamilyOrganization.app. They cover the phone app, the website, and the TV channels that display a household's dashboard. By using any of them, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, don't use the service.
You can reach us at support@familyorganization.app, at (214) 724-4912, or by post at 110 N Akard Street #1017, Dallas, TX 75201, United States.
Who can use it
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live to create a household. A child does not sign themselves up: everyone in a household is added by someone already in it, and a child's login — if you choose to give them one — is created and controlled by a parent. If you add someone to your household, you are responsible for what they do in it.
Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
What it costs
Nothing. This version of FamilyOrganization is free to use, with no purchases, no subscription and no advertising. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page and give you notice before anything is charged.
Your content stays yours
The tasks, events, meals, photos, recordings and everything else you put into your household belong to you. We don't claim ownership of any of it and we don't sell it.
We need your permission to do the obvious mechanical things — store your content, move it between your family's devices, and show it back to the people in your household and on a TV you have paired. That permission is limited to running the service for you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
What not to do
Please don't:
- Use the service to break the law, or to harass or harm anyone.
- Upload someone else's content that you have no right to upload.
- Try to reach another household's information, get around the access rules, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first.
- Automate against the service in a way that degrades it for other families.
- Resell the service or pass it off as your own.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and we'll tell you why where we can.
The TV channels
A TV channel is a display. It pairs to a household you already set up, and it shows that household's day — it does not edit anything. Signing a TV in creates a device account for that TV, which you can remove from the app whenever you like. Anyone who can see the television can see what is on it, so pair a TV only where you are comfortable with that.
Things we show that we didn't write
The quote of the day comes from a third-party quotations service. We pass it through and do not endorse it. If a calendar from your phone is linked to the household, its events flow in as they are, and nothing is ever written back to your calendar.
Ending it
You can stop at any time. Deleting your account from inside the app removes your login, and if you are the last parent in the household it takes the household with it — including the other members, the lists, the calendar, the meals and the files. That cannot be undone, so it is worth being sure.
We may close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service altogether. If we are shutting the service down, we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to get your information out.
What we don't promise
The service is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and correct, but we don't warrant that it will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that a reminder or countdown will always arrive on time. Don't rely on it for medication, medical appointments, or anything else where a missed reminder would cause real harm.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us — which, for this version, is nothing. Some places don't allow those limits, and where that is so, they don't apply to you.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here takes away a consumer-protection right you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything significant, write to the email address on your account before the change applies. Carrying on using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Privacy
How we handle your family's information is set out separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
