Build Journey

Late That Night I Wrote One Spec for Apple TV, Fire TV and Google TV

September 23: one spec for three more TVs.

On the night of September 23 I wrote one platform-neutral spec of the Roku channel: launch, pairing, the data, layout, timeline, popup, planner, remote keys, timers, sounds, settings and every on-screen string, as numbered items that cite the Roku code.

Two reviewers re-read the Roku source against it and found 64 problems. I checked each one against the code and fixed the ones that were real. Fire TV, Google TV and Apple TV each get a folder and a port plan that follow the spec. None of them are available yet; they're coming soon.

Built on September 23, 2026 (commit 2ef2bbe). Written up on October 2, 2026 from my commit history.

See your family's day on the TV you already own.

FamilyOrganization.app is in beta on Roku and iPhone. Apple TV, Fire TV and Google TV are coming soon.
